Tear trough treatment
Remove dark circles and hollows with Dr.Bejma signature treatment.
What are tear troughs?
The tear trough is the groove between where the lower eyelid and cheeks meet. One of the first noticeable signs of aging is the appearance and gradual worsening of under eye dark circles, due to thinning of the overlying skin and soft tissue over the bony orbital rim. As we get older, due ageing and thinning of the skin, this deep attachment between the skin and orbital rim becomes more and more visible.
Dr Bejma inject the filler deep below the soft tissue surrounding the orbitomalar ligament, thereby lifting the tissue and making the tear trough appear shallower and far less visible.
In most patients, a reduction in the depth and width of the tear trough is visible almost immediately. Under eye dark circles often caused by shadows within the trough itself also show a significant improvement.
Results begin to show immediately after treatment and tear trough fillers tend to last for 12 months.
Side effects are minimal, with occasional swelling and bruising. Dr Bejma uses cannula (blunt needle) that reduces above risks significantly in comparison with needle.
